Team GBR Viking Race Qualification

The Team GBR Viking Race Qualification event will be held over the weekend of 26-27 April at the Bwlch in South Wales.
A minimum of 6 rounds are to be flown (To be agreed at first pilots briefing dependant on weather forecast).

A reserve date has been set aside for the weekend of 17-18 May HOWEVER - If rounds have been flown at the first try and the event is incomplete, the second dates MAY be revised to suit the top contenders IF there is a clear definition to be made amongst the leaders.
DO NOT COUNT ON THE RESERVE DATE BEING MODIFIED.

Normal BMFA League rules on round in progress/ start time / discard etc. will apply.

The entry fee is £25 per person per event, payable on the day before the start of racing. No cheques please.
The entry fee is designed to create a surplus in support of the team travel, entry fees, banquet fees etc.
If you do not wish to race but do wish to donate I will provide further details at a later date.

While I cannot stipulate it I would like entry to be restricted to those pilots willing and able to attend the Viking Race in Donovaly. See notice here: http://www.f3f.sk/Docs/Propozicie/VR2008F3F.EN.pdf
Please consider your entry carefully.

Top 3 finishers will qualify as Team GBR
The 4th place finisher will be awarded a place on an 'international team.
The top placed GBR junior will be awarded a place in the competition and compete for the title of Junior VR Champion.

Entries should be forwarded to me at slopetrashuk@ntlworld.com or by text to 07968 817656 BEFORE 10pm on Wednesday 23rd April. A seperate entry list will be opened if the reserve date is used.

The SWSA have graciously agreed to host the event but I would like non competitors to consider attending to help with the running of the event. The pre entry poll indicates that you may bear witness to some of the finest pilots in the UK AND the current VR championship winning team competing for their chance to defend their title on arguably the best and certainly the fastest F3F racing slopes in the UK. There is a lot that can be learnt just by observing such a race. If you are able to help with a little buzzing then please do.

Good luck to everybody.
